Diamonds in the Rough – Now with a Twist of Lime!
The 10-year legacy of the Diamonds in the Rough Stage with Sirroma Entertainment moves into new management as of December 1, 2022 with LimeLite Audio and Media.
The Diamonds in the Rough Stage, created in 2012 to give independent artists a place to play/showcase during the Canadian Country Music Awards week, celebrated its 10th Anniversary at the Calgary CCMA’s in September 2022. Stage founder Angie Morris was presented with a 10-year thank you award, where she shared that she was thinking of hanging up her stage reins to stage hosts Jody Seeley and Mike LaBelle of LimeLite Audio and Media.
“We knew we couldn’t let this opportunity for Country Music Artists across Canada to showcase during one of the biggest weeks of the year for the industry just stop after a decade of growth,” says Mike LaBelle, Co-Founder of LimeLite Audio and Media.
It’s full steam ahead for the LimeLite Team, officially taking over the management of the Diamonds in the Rough Stage. Out of the ten years, LimeLite has been involved in various roles with the stage from brainstorming, selection committee, to hosting. Siromma Entertainment will continue with the group in an advisory and consultant role. “What was a vision in 2011 between myself and Tracy-Lee Sherman became a welcomed reality in 2012. Taking the passenger seat for the Diamonds in the Rough Stage, comes with mixed emotions. We are excited to see that the stage will still operate, giving so many artists the opportunity to shine. Limelite Audio and Media has some incredible ideas and we look forward to watching them take the stage to the next level!” stated Angie Morris
